Soccer and Pointless Drinking
Well last week was kind of odd. On Saturday I played soccer with the kids I tutor and some of their friends. I learned that I have enough Korean language skill to make fun of a middle school boy and have his friends laugh at him. Totally Awesome!
On Saturday night U-rim and I met Darrell and some of his friends and went out for some drinks. U-rim was a little less then impressed by one of Darrell’s friends. She thought that due to his constant oggling of the ladies and comments about ladies on the street (which U-rim could hear and understand) he was totally sleazy. I have to concur a bit. Anyhow I’m not really sure why we went. Outside of meeting Darrell it was kind of pointless. I’d rather have gone somewhere quiet where I could have had a conversation then to loud clubs where there was nothing to do but oggle the ladies…

우리 가족은 6명있어요. 나는 동생 3명있어요. 1男 2女예요. 우리 아버지는 눈의사예요, 우리 엄마는 social worker예요. 우리 남동생의 이름은 잭 (Zack)이에요. 우리 여동생들의 이름들은 리앤논 (Rhiannon)과 에린 (Ailinn)이에요. 리앤논은 21살 간호사이에요. 잭과 에린은 17살 쌍둥이 고딩들이에요.

물 없어…
Man…Judge Judy is raging! Anyhow so on Sunday night I return home to see a sign posted on my building’s door. What I got from it (with my limited knowledge of the Korean language), was that from Monday until Friday the water in my neighborhood would be turned off from 8am until 6pm. So the past couple days I’ve been having to get up prior to 8 in order to shower and brush my teeth. Anyhow moments ago I turned on the water and lo and behold it was running…so I’m not really sure what’s going on. If the water was running I wish I would know this so I could sleep in. Damn!

My First Visitors
My mother and my aunt were here in Korea since Saturday, but left for America this morning. It was good to see them. I had a lot of fun and hope that they enjoyed themselves while here in Korea. I had to use copious ammounts of Korean while they were here and think I did alright for myself, so I was proud of that.
