They are sentient animals. Do you know what that means. They overtly display loyalty, protectiveness, joy, shame, play, sorrow, loneliness, trusting, happiness, they are self sacrificing in the face of danger and have many attributes that man doesnt even do as well. You can't say that about a cow or a snake or a bird. Think about it. Those who say dogs are no different are "missing the boat". Dogs ARE different from other animals and deserve that recognition. They are sentient animals. Do you know what that means.
