When we were leaving Duksugong that one day a group of students were waiting outside. I remember them bellowing "bonjour" and "zdravstvuite" at us before they finally said "hello." Although that wasn't typical.

Shoulda drawn her holding a can of Molson's. It goes together with kneejerk Canadian nationalism like light draws moths or s*** attracts flies.... (OMG, am I trolling for flames or what!?)

I wanted to portray the flag waving, "I'm so not American," aspect. Canadians are involved in that kind of behavior with greater frequency than Kiwis.

I liked that cartoon. You made a very valid point. But above all, I loved the sharp teeth there on the Canadian woman. She looks very evil. (No, I'm not Canuck-bashing, being from the frozen north myself. Come to think of it, should have made here a Kiwi. The anecdotes about Kiwis in Korea seem to be in a class of their own.)
