Best of the Best 2 is the sequel to the excellant 1980's karate movie Best of the Best. Part 2 was not as good. The plot revolves around a secret Los Vegas underground pit fighting areana. Anyway the cowboy from BotB (part 1) gets killed in the tourney and Eric Roberts son sees this...so Eric Roberts and some Asian dude named Tommy Lee (not from Motley Crue) go to place where pit fighting happens and they cause some trouble. Next thing we know, hitmen are after them. Tommy, Eric Roberts, and his son flee to Tommy's grandparents, who for some reason are Native Americans. A drunk named James trains Tommy and Eric to fight in the deal. Hitmen come to the place and James gets killed. Hitmen take Tommy cuz he ruffed up the main bad guy called Barakus. The others escape a gas station explosion. Tommy fights in a tournement and gets up to Barakus. Eric Roberts and Korean National Karate Team inflitrate the base (all your base are belong to us) and then Tommy wins. He's going to spare Barakus but then Barakus gets up and rushes Tommy where Tommy kills him and becomes owner of Fighting zone. He says it's closed. Wayne Newton is mad and Eric Roberts punches him out. End of Movie.
REVIEW: Ok...well the fighting was a little sketchy in some parts and I was not sure why Tommy had Native American relatives, and neither was Eric Roberts son in the movie, but it was neither explained to him or I. Also a lack of James Earl Jones is not a good idea. When the Korean guy with eye patch fought, the movie was better. He should have been in it more, but alas.
